The EQS' charging cable is a J1772 specification, so it's compatible with any charging port of the same measurement. Mercedes offers an adapter to let you charge the car from a standard household outlet, but it's not recommended for regular use since it charges very slowly. Where can you charge the EQS? There are currently more than 43,000 public charging stations and about 120,000 charging ports in the U.S. Through a partnership with Electrify America - a public charging initiative of Volkswagen How long does it take to charge the EQS? According to Mercedes, charging the EQS with a 240-volt connection takes a little more than 11 hours, and that's to recoup a full charge from 10% capacity (it's recommended to never let an EV battery drain completely). With DC Fast Charging, you can go from a 10% charge to 80% in 31 minutes, per Mercedes estimates. Level 3 Charging is capable of replenishing 186 miles of range in 15 minutes. With its odometer now reading 14,585, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty warranties until April 2026 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)! How are the range and efficiency? The EQS 450+ Edmunds tested was equipped with the standard 20-inch wheels, giving it an EPA-estimated range of 350 miles and a consumption rate of 35 kWh's worth of electricity for every 100 miles of driving. That range estimate is great by itself, and they found the EQS can go even farther. Edmunds drove the EQS 450+ 422 miles on a single max battery charge in their real-world range test. It was also more efficient than the EPA's estimate, using only 29.5 kWh/100 miles. For comparison, a 2022 Audi e-tron GT they tested went only 273 miles on a full charge and used 41 kWh/100 miles.
